PRESENT AFFIRMATIVE

For inanimate nouns, simply use "ni" in the same fashion.
PRESENT NEGATIVE

For inanimate nouns, use the appropriate subject prefix, followed by -likuwa.
PAST NEGATIVE
Mimi sikuwa

Note that we are still dropping the "ku" (because kuwa is a monosyllabic verb). The "ku" in the negation comes from changing li to ku.
For inanimate nouns, use "ha" followed by the appropriate subject prefix, followed by -kuwa.
